Courthouse News for April 5th, 2023

On March 27th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department reported that a four wheeler driven by Jerry Mayer of Ellston was southbound on 330th Avenue in Ringgold County when he hit a soft spot in the roadway and it overturned. Mayer was pinned to the roadway by the four wheeler. He was life flighted to Des Moines. 

On March 28th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2009 Toyota Tacoma driven by Randall Giles (52) of Ridgeway was westbound on 136, one mile southwest of Mount Moriah at around 11:10 am. A 2003 Ford Ranger driven by Jimmie Cole (71) of Denver (CO) was also westbound. The Patrol says that the Tacoma attempted to turn left and the Ranger attempted to pass. The front passenger side of the Ranger struck the front driver’s side of the Tacoma. A passenger in the Cole vehicle, Geralyn Cole (45) of Denver, received minor injuries. Neither driver was injured.

On March 28th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Kenneth Cline (41) of St. Joseph in Harrison County on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine (Felony) and No Plates. Charges were subsequently filed by Harrison County Prosecutor Alex Van Zandt. Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.

On March 29th, the State of Iowa conducted a statewide tornado drill. Sirens sounded throughout the state. 

On March 29th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Leon Nobles III (19) of Cainsville in Harrison County on a charge of Speeding and a Harrison County Warrant (Minor in Possession).

On March 30th, Harrison County Prosecutor Alex Van Zandt filed charges against Valatin Kawandilwa (18) of Fayetteville (AR) alleging Speeding (26+ mph over), No Valid License, and Failure to Secure Child in Booster Seat.

On March 31st, a Maryville business reported that someone had stolen their trash cans.

On March 31st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Samantha Cline (29) of McFall in Gentry County on charges of DWI, Resisting Arrest, Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, and No Seat Belt.

On April 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Raheen DuBose (37) of Fort Myers (FL) on charges of Speeding, No Seat Belt, a Felony Out of State Warrant, and 60 counts of Forgery (Counterfeit Currency).

On April 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Terrance Little (42) of Tampa (FL) on a US Secret Service Warrant (Forgery), No Seat Belt, and 60 counts of Forgery (Counterfeit Currency). 

On April 2nd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Mark Luke (53) of Stanberry on a charge of DWI.

On April 3rd, Harrison County tested its storm sirens at noon.

On April 3rd, Harrison County Prosecutor Alex Van Zandt filed charges against Christhian Rivera (25) of Des Moines alleging Speeding (26+ mph over) and No Valid License.

On April 3rd, Harrison County Prosecutor Alex Van Zandt filed charges against Christopher Stoll (58) of Davis City (IA) alleging Passing a Bad Check (Felony). 

Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
