Hailey Adwell Grabs Two Firsts; Tiger Girls Fifth, Boys Eighth at Warrior Relays

The highlight of the track meet at Albany Monday was Hailey Adwell winning both the 100 and the 200 for Worth County.

For the girls, East Atchison had 97 points. Platte Valley had 84, Maysville 72, Princeton 69, Worth County 67, Pattonsburg 55, North Andrew 43, Albany 38, Gallatin 36, South Holt 29, King City 24, Braymer 20, Stanberry 17, NEN 13, Tri-County 12, Stewartsville/Osborn 12, East Harrison 12, Mercer 7, Winston 6, Milan 4, and North Harrison 1.

For the boys, Princeton had 77, Albany 61, Winston 61, Milan 60, Stanberry 59, King City 58, East Atchison 45, Worth County 43, North Andrew 43, Braymer 42, Platte Valley 38, Maysville 36, Tri-County 26, Gallatin 23, Union Star 14, Stewartsville 14, North Harrison 10, and East Harrison 6.

For the girls, Hailey Adwell got a personal best in the 100 and won with a time of 13.53. Rayleigh Smith came close to a personal best and finished seventh with a time of 14.18. Adwell got a personal best in the 200 and won with a time of 27.58, knocking 1.3 seconds off her time. 

Riley Ridge was eighth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 19.08. 

Ridge also matched a personal best in the High Jump with a height of 4’7”. Eva Engel got a personal best in the Pole Vault and won with a height of 11’2”. Riley Ridge was eighth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 27’9¾”. 

Kara-Jean Staton was third in the Shot Put with a throw of 31’4¾”. Staton was second in the Discus with a throw of 102’3¼”. Ali Brown was fifth with a throw of 88’2”. Ali Brown picked up Worth County’s fourth first place finish with a winning Javelin throw of 114’3¼”. 

For the boys, Levi Cassavaugh was sixth in the 100 with a time of 11.89. Levi was second in the 400 with a time of 54.48. 

John Galanakis came close to a personal best and got second in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 18.80. 

The 4x100 team of Levi Cassavaugh, Landon Moser, Franklynn Taute, and John Galanakis got a personal best and took third with a time of 48.06. That was almost a second better than their previous best time. 

Landon Moser was sixth in the Long Jump with a jump of 17’9”. Moser got a personal best in the Triple Jump and was fifth with a jump of 36’5”. 

Elias Alarcon was fifth in the Discus with a throw of 108’2¾”. The Tigers placed two in the Javelin. Tyler New was third with a throw of 128’9¼”. John Galanakis was eighth with a throw of 111’¼”, over six feet better than his previous best throw.

Mylee Wilmes got a personal best in the 200 and got sixth with a time of 30.22. Wilmes was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:09.58. 

The 4x200 team of Dalanie Auffert, Baylie Busby, Sasha Deardorff, and Mylee Wilmes was sixth with a time of 2:15.93. 

Baylie Busby was sixth in the High Jump with a height of 4’5¼”. 

For the boys, Kyler Scadden got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 13’6¼, over 3½ feet better than his previous best jump.

North Harrison

Kira Robertson got a personal best in the 200 and finished eighth with a time of 30.83. Both entrants in the 100 Hurdles knocked some time off. Erika Gerken got a personal best with a time of 20.34, a sixth of a second off her previous best time. And Kira Robertson knocked a second off her time and got a time of 20.88.

For the boys, Griffin Dougherty got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 14.30. Tyson Gibson was seventh and matched a personal best in the High Jump with a height of 5’7”. Tyson Gibson was second in the Triple Jump with a jump of 42’9”.
