On Saturday, the power went out in Grant City for 10 hours, starting at 6:15 am. The cause was a tree south of Grant City that had fallen on a power line in a remote area. It took electric crews hours to cut their way through so they could replace the pole. Power was also out in Allendale, while power was out in Denver and Worth for two hours. The electricity in Sheridan flickered on and off. Power to the school was not affected because it is on United Electric. Power to United Electric customers was not affected.
