Courthouse News for February 16th, 2022

On February 9th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Aaron Landers (38) of Guilford alleging Domestic Assault (Felony). Bond was set at $50,000, with defendant allowed to post 10% cash.

On February 9th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Jacob Nastasio (31) of Maitland alleging Burglary (Felony), Domestic Assault (Felony), Harassment, and Property Damage. Bond was set at $50,000, cash or corporate surety.

On February 11th, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residential burglary in rural Bethany. Nine guns, two Stihl chainsaws, and various other valuables were taken from the resident. Subsequently, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department arrested Chad Service (32) of Bethany and Harlon Lee (46) of Bethany on charges of Second Degree Burglary. Bond was set for each man at $10,000, cash only. They were subsequently charged by Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer.

On February 12th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Amuri Sadi (29) of St. Paul (MN) in Harrison County on charges of Speeding, No Valid License, and a Clinton County Traffic Warrant.

On February 12th, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against William Madison (37) of Bethany alleging Domestic Assault (Felony). Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.

On February 12th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Billy Stephenson (31) of Maryville alleging DWI.

On February 12th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Michelle LaTour (32) of Maryville alleging Stealing and Leaving the Scene.

On February 13th, one cop car was stationed just east of the “Y” east of Sheridan and another was stationed at Route 46 and the road that goes to Isadora. A third was headed west towards that area.

On February 13th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 16 year old Tarkio teen was northbound on Icon Road and 310th three miles southwest of Maryville when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a fence. A 15 year old Maryville teen who was a passenger received moderate injuries and was taken to Mosaic in St. Joseph.

On February 14th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Cory Farrell (23) of Grant City in Worth County on charges of DWI (Felony), Driving While Revoked, and Failure to Signal. Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison subsequently filed charges.

On February 14th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Logan Fainter (20) of Maryville alleging Invasion of Privacy (Felony). Bond was set at $5,000, with defendant given leave to post 10% cash.

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
