Shamrock Boys Eclipse Century Mark as Wade Briggs Gets 31; Cooper Cracraft Gets Double Double

North Harrison’s boys have had an up and down season, and games have depended on which team has shown up to play. On Friday, the Shamrocks came to play against a Breckinridge team that hadn’t won a game this year and which only dressed six players. North Harrison got 58 boards, 33 assists, 31 tips, and 28 steals as they won 101-28 Friday. Wade Briggs, who had been keyed a lot more this year, finally found daylight and scored 31, while Cooper Cracraft had an unorthodox double double, getting 12 boards and 10 assists.

The game was soon over as the Shamrocks led 25-0 after one quarter and scored the first 32 points of the game before the Bulldogs finally got on the board. The avalanche continued in the second quarter as the Shamrocks scored 33, led by 9 by Wade Briggs and 6 each from Nick Babinski and Tyson Gibson. Cooper Cracraft was airing it out to people at will after getting defensive boards as the Shamrocks were beating Breckenridge up and down the floor. Eight different Shamrocks saw the scoring column.

Wade Briggs added 16 points in the third quarter as North Harrison put their subs in position to break the century mark as they led 89-19 after three. The only tense part was whether North Harrison would break the century mark. Kolton Graham had the hot hand early in the quarter, scoring the first five. Keygun Johnson got loose in transition and Jerry Gilpatrick hit a 3-pointer with 2:10 left to put North Harrison at 99. Finally, Evan Schreiber got loose in transition, got a pass from Keygun Johnson, and drew a foul and hit both free throws with a minute left to put the Shamrocks over the hump.

The one thing North Harrison didn’t do was have ten or more people get at least 1 point, rebound, assist, tip, and steal; Worth County’s girls team pulled off the trick earlier this year against Albany. They came close, however, getting 10 or more people with at least one point, rebound, assist, and tip and getting nine players with at least one steal.

Wade Briggs had 31 points. Tyson Gibson and Nick Babinski each had 16, Brandon Hamilton, Matthew Heintz, and Keygun Johnson all had 8, Jerry Gilpatrick had 6, Kolton Graham 5, Evan Schreiber 2, and Cooper Cracraft 1.

Keygun Johnson had 2 blocks. Nick Babinski, Matthew Heintz, Brandon Hamilton, and Kolton Graham all had 1.

Cooper Cracraft had 12 boards. Keygun Johnson had 11, Kolton Graham 9, Matthew Heintz 8, Tyson Gibson 5, Cole Kampman 3, Wade Briggs, Evan Schreiber, Brandon Hamilton, and Karsyn Ury 2 each, and Nick Babinski and Jerry Gilpatrick 1 each.

Cooper Cracraft had 10 assists. Keygun Johnson had 5, Brandon Hamilton and Wade Briggs each had 4, Nick Babinski 3, Jerry Gilpatrick and Karsyn Ury had 2 each, and Tyson Gibson and Matthew Heintz 1 each.

Tyson Gibson had 6 tips. Matthew Heintz and Evan Schreiber had 5 each, Brandon Hamilton and Karsyn Ury had 3 each, Keygun Johnson and Wade Briggs 2 each, and Cooper Cracraft and Jerry Gilpatrick 1 each.

Tyson Gibson had 9 steals. Nick Babinski had 6, Brandon Hamilton and Matthew Heintz had 3 each, Wade Briggs and Evan Schreiber 2 each, and Cooper Cracraft, Jerry Gilpatrick, and Karsyn Ury with 1 each.
