Wreck Near Burlington Junction Leaves Man Seriously Injured

A wreck near Burlington Junction left a Maryville man seriously injured. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a 1996 Dodge 1500 driven by James Rasmussen (40) of Maryville was southbound on KK five miles north of Burlington Junction Sunday, August 16th at 6:15 pm. He lost control and traveled off the west side of the roadway, hit a drain culvert, went airborne, and landed on his wheels facing northeast. He was seriously injured and taken to St. Francis Hospital in Maryville and then to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
