Obituary -- Levi Judson 1926-2016

Levi Judson (L J) Henry Jr., 90, of Ravenwood, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Maryville.

He was born July 17, 1926 in Ravenwood, to Levi Judson and Lola Mabel Stingley Henry. 

L J was a 1944 graduate of Ravenwood High School and he served his country during World War II with the United States Navy.

He was a clerk, Postmaster and rural letter carrier for the Ravenwood Post Office. He and his brother Norvil ran Henry's Painting, also in Ravenwood.

L J was a member of the Nodaway Masonic Lodge #470, Maryville and the Curry-Richardson-Sparks-Waldeier American Legion Post #528, Parnell, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Norvil, Eldon, Maurice and Donald Henry and sister Gladys West.

Surviving him are his daughter Pamela (Bob) Hamler, Overland Park, Kansas; son Clyde Wayne (Beverly) Henry, Burlington Junction, MO; grandson Brian (Stacy) Bateman, Overland Park; step-grandson Andy (Nancy) Hamler, Folsom, California; two great-grandchildren: Lexi and Braden Bateman; four step-great-grandchildren: Julianne, Zachary, Nicholas, and Gwen Hamler; niece Kila Henry, Ravenwood and great-niece Shannon Greenfield.

Visitation was 1-2 PM Monday, August 8, 2016, at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville. Funeral Services followed the visitation at 2:00 PM.

Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood.

Masonic Services by Nodaway Masonic Lodge #470 and Military Services by Curry, Richardson, Sparks, Waldeier American Legion Post #528.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association or AseraCare Hospice.
