Junior High Boys Second at GRC Meet

The Worth County Junior High Boys were second in the GRC Meet Thursday as they got 69 points for the afternoon. Hamilton won the event with 99 points, followed by Worth County with 69, Maysville with 66, Gallatin with 60, and Albany with 58. Worth County won a tough four way race for second place behind the Hornets.

The Tigers placed two in the Discus. Josh Warner was 5th with a throw of 100'10. That was 11'2" off the throw of Michael Stanley of Gallatin. Austin Carlson was 6th with a throw of 96 feet.

Ben Badell beat out Trystan Sunby of Gallatin on tiebreaks in the Pole Vault, winning with a jump of 8 feet. Jared Simmons was 4th with a jump of 7 feet.

Cole Parman was 2nd in the Triple Jump with a jump of 35'9 1/2". That was 4'4 1/2" off the jump of Kellen Overstreet of Hamilton. Parman was also 3rd in the Long Jump as he got a jump of 17 feet. That was 1'7 1/2" off the jump of Overstreet of Hamilton. Brevyn Ross was 6th with a jump of 14'11".

The Tigers placed two in the 100 Hurdles. Cole Parman was 2nd with a time of 16.68. That was .85 of a second off the pace of Eli Rae of Maysville. Brevyn Ross was 3rd with a time of 16.92.

The 4x200 Relay Team was 3rd with a time of 1:55.36. That was 4.75 seconds off the pace set by Maysville. The 4x100 was 6th with a time of 56.25, 3.66 seconds off the time of Gallatin.

Cole Parman was 4th in the 100 with a time of 59.46. That was 1.45 seconds off the time of Drew Cottrill of Albany.

Brevyn Ross was second in the 800, but he had his best time of the year, getting a time of 2:25. That was nine seconds off the pace of Drew Finch of Hamilton.

The 4x400 Relay Team was 4th with a time of 4:35. That was 21 seconds off the pace set by Hamilton.
