Pat was born January 13, 1933 and went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2011.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Wertz Sr. and son William "Billy" Wertz Jr. She is survived by daughters Debbie and husband Jim Roach of Delphos Iowa, Cindy and husband James Mullins of Cibolo Texas, Charlotte and husband William Cope of Junction City, Sharon and husband Rusty Taylor of White City and one son David of Lawrence Kansas, 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Pat was married to Bill in El Paso, Texas on August 29th 1952. Pat and Bill went on to have 6 children and eventually retired at Ft. Riley and settled in Grandview Plaza in 1969.
Pat was very well known in Grandview Plaza where she was known as"MOM" to many of the of the local children. After raising her family Pat went on to work at the Park Terrace Motel, Dreamland Motel and J.C. Livestock Cafe.
Visitation will be at the Penwell - Gabel Funeral Chapel on Carolina St. in Junction City between 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday and funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday with graveside services immediately following at Ft. Riley Cemetary.
Flowers can be sent to the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to The Geary County Hospice Care. Arrangements are under the direction of the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home of Grant City.
