Bo Collins Sets Two Meet Records at Home Meet; Boys Third, Girls Fifth

Bo Collins set two new meet records for Worth County at the Junior High Relays, breaking the Discus mark and the 200 mark Thursday. He completed his third straight hat trick, winning all four of his events.

For the girls, Rock Port had 79, Stanberry 63, South Harrison 62, Albany 40, Worth County 38, St. Gregory’s 35, East Atchison 34, Pattonsburg 28, Maysville 22, South Holt 21, St. Joseph Christian 18, Nodaway Valley 13, NEN 8, North Harrison 2, Platte Valley 1, and Gallatin 1.

For the boys, Rock Port had 83, Nodaway Valley 68, Worth County 64, Gallatin 52, St. Joseph Christian 42, South Harrison 36, East Atchison 25, Platte Valley 16, North Nodaway 12, South Holt 12, NEN 11, Albany 11, North Harrison 10, Maysville 10, Pattonsburg 6, King City 6, and Stanberry 1.

For the girls, Addison Gray was fifth in the 100 with a time of 14.93. Sumer Riley got a personal best in the prelims in the 200, getting a time of 31.40. She got sixth in the event with a time of 31.48. 

Kristen Tracy was fifth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.87. 

The 4x100 team of Keira Hardy, Megan Tracy, Addison Gray, and Sumer Riley was second with a time of 56.58. The 4x200 team of Keira Hardy, Megan Tracy, Addison Gray, and Sumer Riley was third and got a personal best time of 2:01.16. The 4x400 team of Megan Tracy, Alivia Moyer, Audrey Runde, and Keira Hardy got a personal best time of 5:06.36, taking three seconds off their time. 

Alivia Moyer matched a personal best in the High Jump with a height of 4’1¼”. Sara Fletchall matched a personal best on the Pole Vault and won with a height of 7’6¼”. Megan Tracy matched a personal best with a height of 6 feet. 

Sumer Riley got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 12’11½”. Alivia Moyer was sixth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 27 feet. Kristen Tracy was second in the Discus with a throw of 70’5¾”. 

For the boys, Bo Collins got his first win in the 100 with a time of 12.16. Collins then won the 200 with a time of 24.89, setting a new meet record. Dylan Smith took almost 12 seconds off his time in the 400 and got a time of 1:04.82. Wesley Brown knocked four more seconds off his time in the 800, getting a time of 3:23.10. 

Cole Ruby was second in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 17.26, a season best. 

The 4x100 team of Ethan Lininger, Cole Ruby, Dylan Smith, and Caleb New was fourth with a personal best time of 53.62. The 4x400 team of Ethan Lininger, Hayden Sanders, Caleb New, and Maverick Cox didn’t place in a loaded field, but continued their improvement, knocking three seconds off their time and finishing with a time of 4:34.12. 

Hayden Sanders was third in the Pole Vault with a personal best time of 8’6½”. Bentley Frisch got a personal best with a height of 7 feet. Sanders also got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 15’2¾”. 

Bo Collins’ third victory was in the Shot Put, which he won with a throw of 42’7”. His fourth win was in the Discus, in which he won with a throw of 170’5¾”. That broke a 50+ year old record held by Ronnie Walker, who threw it 152 feet in 1970. The mark for Bo was also a personal best for him. Ethan Lininger got a personal best and third place with a throw of 121’2”.

NEN

Georgia Taylor got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 16.54. The Bluejays got two personal bests in the 200. Piper Gray got a personal best of 33.98, while Holly Bennett got a personal best of 37 seconds. Rylee Scadden got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:12.40. Brianna Meyer got a personal best in the 800 with a time of 3:00.25. 

The 4x100 team of Piper Gray, Rylee Scadden, Brianna Meyer, and Holly Bennett got a personal best time of 1:02.39. The 4x400 team of Sadie Hall, Georgia Taylor, Bristol Hicks, and Rylee Scadden got a personal best with a time of 5:24.52. 

Blair Nelson was fifth in the High Jump with a jump of 4’5¼”. The Bluejays got two personal bests in the Long Jump. Blair Nelson finished third and got a personal best jump of 13’10¼”. Georgia Taylor got another personal best with a jump of 11’3½”. Brianna Meyer got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 64’2½”, better than her previous mark by almost four feet. 

For the boys, Wyatt Scadden got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 29.70. The Bluejays got two personal bests in the 400. Jude Archer got sixth place with a personal best run of 1:00.17. Reece Gray took almost five seconds off his time and finished with a time of 1:01.16. 

Reece Gray secured the first victory on the boys side by winning the Long Jump with a jump of 17’8½”. That jump was a personal best. Toryn Privett got a personal best in the Shot Put with a throw of 30’3”. Privett has been rapidly improving in the Discus. He made a huge leap earlier in the year, improving his throw by 20 feet to 68’4”. He made another leap at Worth County, improving by another 14 feet to 82’6½”. 

North Nodaway

Nevaeh Rowland got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 18.26. Pyper Smith got a personal best in the 800 with a time of 3:18.56. Zoey Phillips got a personal best in the Triple Jump with a jump of 21’11¾”. 

For the boys, Ridge Clements was fourth in the 200 with a personal best time of 26.82. Ty Moyer got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:09.17, three seconds better than his previous best time. Robbie Forney took almost 11 seconds off his time in the 800 and finished with a time of 3:05.43. Connor Pearson took six more seconds off his time in the 1600, finishing with a time of 6:40.08. 

Jackson Keho got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 21.11. Ridge Harger was second in the Long Jump with a personal best 17’7¾”. Keith Riedel got a personal best with a time of 10’6½”. 

North Harrison

Jaxcynn Hansel got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 31.88. Hali Smith got fifth in the 400 with a personal best time of 1:11.34. The 4x200 team of Addison Milligan, Jaxcynn Hansel, Ava Rinehart, and Lani Briggs got a personal best with a time of 2:12.91. The 4x400 team of Ava Rinehart, Jaxcynn Hansel, Gracie Young, and Hali Smith took almost 9 seconds off their time and finished with a time of 5:05.44.

Hali Smith got a personal best in the Triple Jump with a jump of 24’9¾”. 

For the boys, the Shamrocks placed two in the 400. Lane Graham was fourth with a personal best time of 1:00.03. Wyatt Maize was fifth with a personal best time of 1:00.07, almost five seconds off his previous best time. 

The 4x400 team of Landon Johnson, Tate Richardson, Lane Graham, and Wyatt Maize knocked over 13 seconds off their time and finished fifth with a time of 4:17.29. Lane Graham was fifth in the Long Jump with a jump of 15’7½”.
