Worth County’s junior high teams ended their season with both finishing second in the GRC West Conference tournament Thursday. Stanberry ran away with the meet on the girls side and the boys were edged out by St. Joseph Christian. North Harrison showed that their strong showing at the Worth County Quad a few days before was no accident, as they finished a strong fourth.
For the girls, Stanberry had 151, Worth County 100, Albany 74, St. Joseph Christian 58, Pattonsburg 35, North Harrison 33, and King City 12. For the boys, St. Joseph Christian had 109, Worth County 100, Stanberry 76, North Harrison 65, King City 44, Albany 31, North Andrew 27, and Pattonsburg 13.
The Tigers placed three in the 100. Keira Hardy was third with a time of 14.59. Addison Gray was fourth with a time of 14.97. Sumer Riley was fifth with a time of 15.04.
Addison Gray won her first event all year, winning the 200 with a personal best of 30.72. Sumer Riley was third with a time of 32.30. Kristen Tracy was fifth in the 800 with a time of 3:16.66. Tracy was second in the 1600 with a season best 6:56.36.
The Tigers placed three in the 100 Hurdles. Kristen Tracy was second with a time of 19.03. Audrey Runde was fourth with a time of 19.68. Kambree Briner was fifth with a time of 20.51.
The 4x100 team was second with a time of 56.45. The 4x200 team was fourth with a time of 2:04.71. The 4x400 team was fifth with a time of 5:20.70.
Alivia Moyer matched a personal best in the High Jump with a fifth place finish of 4’1¼”. Sara Fletchall won the Pole Vault with a personal best height of 7’8½”. Megan Tracy matched a personal best and finished fourth with a height of 6’6¾”. Kambree Briner was sixth, matching a personal best with a height of 5’7”.
Addison Gray was fifth in the Long Jump with a jump of 13’5½”. Laura Hansen got a personal best with a jump of 9 feet. The Tigers placed two in the Triple Jump. Megan Tracy was fourth with a personal best 27’6¾”. Audrey Runde was sixth with a height of 27’2¾”, also a personal best.
Bree Ray got a personal best in the Shot Put with a throw of 20’8½”. Kristen Tracy won the Discus with a throw of 77 feet.
For the boys, Bo Collins won the 100 with a time of 12.56. He also won the 200 with a time of 25.12.
The Tigers placed two in the 100 Hurdles. Cole Ruby was second with a time of 18.71. Dylan Smith was third with a season best of 19.10.
The 4x100 was second with a personal best time of 53.60. The 4x200 was fifth with a time of 1:56.05. The 4x400 team was third with a time of 4:37.12.
Hayden Sanders won the Pole Vault with a personal best mark of 9 feet. Bentley Frisch was fifth with a height of 6’6¾”.
Hayden Sanders got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 15’3”. Trent Adwell got a personal best with a jump of 10’6¾”. Caleb New was third in the Triple Jump with a personal best jump of 32’5¼”. Dylan Smith was fourth with a jump of 32 feet, close to a personal best.
Bo Collins won the Shot Put with a throw of 41’9½”. Ethan Lininger was fourth with a throw of 33’7½”. Bo won the Discus to complete the four for four hat track with a throw of 153’4½”. Ethan Lininger was fourth with a throw of 102’4¾”.
North Harrison
Raegan Hogan was fourth in the 200 with a time of 32.44. Jaxcynn Hansel was fifth with a time of 33.29. Hali Smith was fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:13.60. Peyton Kerr got a personal best with a time of 1:26.67. She improved by six seconds over the course of the year. Lily Lane got a personal best of 1:38.42, improving by 11 seconds.
The 4x100 team was sixth with a time of 1:04.26. The 4x200 was fifth with a time of 2:17.01. The 4x400 was fourth with a time of 5:16.33.
Hali Smith did the Pole Vault for a second try and did better, getting a height of 6 feet, good enough for fifth place.
Gracie Young won her first event all year, getting a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 13’9”. She started doing it during the Princeton meet and got better at it every single time, and it paid off Thursday.
Ava Rinehart got a personal best in the Triple Jump with a jump of 25’5½”. Jaxcynn Hansel was fourth in the Discus with a throw of 65’4¼”.
For the boys, the two headed monster of Wyatt Maize and Lane Graham racked up points for the Shamrocks again. Maize was second in the 100 with a time of 13.16, while Graham was fourth with a time of 13.71. Maize was second again in the 200 with a time of 26.80, a personal best. Graham was fifth with a time of 28.17. Maize broke the one minute barrier and finished second in the 400 with a personal best time of 59.16, while Graham was third with a time of 1:02.21.
Tate Richardson was fifth in the 800 with a time of 3:40.83. Ryker Fortner was sixth with a personal best time of 2:40.83. Richardson was third in the 1600 with a time of 6:02.91.
The 4x400 team was fifth with a time of 5:08.10.
Tate Richardson was sixth in the High Jump with a height of 4’7”.
In just his second try at it all year, Wyatt Maize won the Long Jump, coming close to the 20 foot barrier with a personal best 19’5¾”. Lane Graham was third with a jump of 16’8¾”. Ryker Fortner got a personal best with a jump of 13’2¼”.
Tate Richardson was sixth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 32 feet.
Axle Allen got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 55 feet.
