Anna Gladstone and the Northwest Missouri State women won the MIAA track title for the first time in 25 years. The last time Northwest won the MIAA title was back in 1998. They had won it once before, in 1997.
Northwest had 137 team points. Pittsburg State had 133, Fort Hayes 108, Lincoln 85, Missouri Southern 84, Central 82.5, Washburn 70, Nebraska-Kearney 52, Missouri Western 36, Emporia State 23, Central Oklahoma 4, and Rogers State 3.
Anna Gladstone competed in the Heptathlon and finished fifth with 4,723 points. She was sixth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 14.76, around a second and a half better than her time in high school. She was sixth in the High Jump with a height of 5’1”.
She didn’t throw in high school, but Anna’s best results came as a thrower. She was third in the Shot Put with a throw of 36’11¼”. She was also third in the Javelin with a throw of 109’9”.
Gladstone was sixth in the 200 with a time of 26.50. She was fifth in the Long Jump with a jump of 16’10¾”. She was seventh in the 800 with a time of 2:32.46.
