Brad Pickering was born September 13, 1984 in Albany, Missouri. He passed away March 4, 2022 at the Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri at the age of 37.
Brad graduated from Worth County RIII High School in 2003. He married Kendra Sweet on May 22, 2010. Two sons were born to this union, Lane Bradley and Coy Douglas. Brad worked for Schaeffer Oil Company in sales.
Brad loved spending time with Kendra and the boys and went to all the boys’ activities. He enjoyed farming with his dad and Grandpa Carol. Brad also loved pulling tractors and was a member of Northwest Missouri Tractor Pullers Association. You would not see him pulling any color tractor but orange.
Brad was immersed into the waters of baptism in July 2021.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carol Pickering, Karyn Pickering, Beverly Pickering, and Jerry Stephenson, and aunt, Cindy Pickering-Noble. ,
He is survived by his wife Kendra and sons Lane and Coy of the home in Sheridan, Missouri, father Doug and wife Barb Pickering of Grant City; mother Cindy Vandike of Maitland, brother Nikolas Pickering of Maryville, sister Kelsey Swartz and husband Dale of Graham, step sister Jodi England and husband Brett of Diagonal, Iowa, step brother Dillon Drake and wife Bailey of Diagonal, Iowa, parent-in-laws Jay and Renae Sweet of Clarinda, Iowa, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Crossroads Church in Grant City, Missouri. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City. A private family burial will be in Honey Grove Cemetery at a later date.
