A meeting was held January 27, 2021, at City Hall at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Mayor- Debbie Roach, - Alderman – Bruce Downing -Charlotte Green- Catherine Runde-Tyler Steele
City Clerk: Cecelia Burbach
City Administrator: Meggan Brown
Street Superintendent: Carl Staton
Mayor called the meeting to order @ 7:20 p.m.
Minutes: Catherine Runde made motion to approve the minutes as written for December 16,2020, and January 3, 2021 seconded by Bruce Downing , motion carried.
List of Bills/Supplies: Charlotte Green made motion to approve the list of bills/supplies for month end December 2020 and January 27, 2021, seconded by Tyler Steele, motion carried.
BSA: Catherine Runde read Proclamation proclaiming February 7-13, 2021 as Scouts-BSA Anniversary Week. Tyler Steele made motion, Catherine Runde seconded, motion carried.
Credit Card Resolution: Form required by bank that issued credit card to update city clerk. Tyler Steele made motion to sign and submit, Catherine Runde seconded, motion carried.
Letter of Hire: Our terminal that allows us to accept credit card payments requires a letter to update city clerk. Catherine Runde made motion to sign, Bruce Downing seconded, motion carried.
WC Lumber: Bid submitted for plexiglass shields for license office, tabled at this time.
Meggan Brown: There is a Heartland Economic Development six week course for new hires beginning April 6th, 2021. The cost is $795.00, Round Table Committee will reimburse. Catherine Runde made motion to approve Meggan attending, Bruce Downing seconded, motion carried.
Great Northwest Days, live on Facebook this year, will begin February 1 and continue through February 3, 2021. Seminars/discussions can be watched live or videos of the live events will be posted that can be watched anytime. Normal cost to have a booth is $600.00. It is requested that if you have already budgeted the full cost that you pay that amount; costs of planning/on-line presence still need to be accounted for. Catherine Runde made motion for full amount, Charlotte Green seconded, motion carried.
Meggan has been in touch with Becky Carlson with the Secretary of State Archives Division regarding records destruction. Becky has been to City Hall and is willing to help Meggan go through the records downstairs to decide what needs to be retained and what can be destroyed. Meggan has found a shredding company that would charge $254.96 for a 1 time trip to shed everything.
PWD: Carl Staton had nothing to discuss this month.
Topics of Interest: We received a request from the after-prom committee for a donation. Normal donation is usually a pass to pool. Catherine Runde made motion to donate 1 family pass and I single pass, Bruce Downing seconded, motion carried.
At 8:05 pm Bruce Downing made motion to end regular meeting to enter closed session, Catherine Runde seconded, motion carried.
