Frost Covered Roadway Leads to Injury Accident

A frost covered roadway led to an injury accident south of Ravenwood Tuesday morning at around 7:50 a.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 1994 Dodge Van driven by Sabah Abdulazez of Kansas City was southbound on 136 and a 2004 Mitsubishi driven by Tyler Evans was northbound. The Dodge Van lost control on the frost covered roadway, crossed the center line, and struck the Mitsubishi head-on. Both vehicles came to rest on the roadway. Abdulazez received serious injuries and was life flighted to Heartland Regional Medical Center. Evans received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital. Both vehicles were totaled and were towed from the scene.
