Worth County Elementary Performs Christmas Concert

The Worth County Elementary students performed their annual Christmas concert Friday afternoon. It was directed by Mrs. Stephanie Bickel and was held in the High School Gym.

Leading off were the Preschool and Kindergarten classes performing "Christmas Makes me Sing" and "Snowman Jump." The 1st and 2nd graders sang "I want to be an elf," "Santa Claus Rock," and "Snow Angels." The 3rd and 4th graders sang "Merry Christmas Time," "Over the River," "Jungle Jive," and "A Perfect Winter Day." For the "Jungle Jive" song, some of the students played bells; bell players were Misty Helt, Alex Rinehart, Cheyanne Fairchild, Sadie Runde, Cooper Chapman, Chandler Rennells, Keelin Engel, Tate Welch, Jillian Hardy, Andrew Alarcon, Allison Larison, and Morgan Beagle.

The 5th and 6th graders sang "Singing by Candlelight," "First Day of Winter," "Everlasting Fruitcake," and "North Pole Rock n' Roll." The Everlasting Fruitcake was a satirical song about a fruitcake that gets recycled as a gift over and over again; in it, Jarrett Hargrave knocked on Lauren Moore's door with yet another special delivery of fruitcake. Soloists for the North Pole song were Trenton Gabriel, Wyatt Frese, and Kennedy Galanakis.

Finally, the whole elementary student body got on stage and sang "Go in Peace" for the grand finale of the shoe.
