Josh Warner beat his discus throw in Albany by 22'2" and won with a varsity-level throw of 115'2". That was 2'1" ahead of Michael Stanley of Gallatin. Austin Carlson was 5th with a throw of 100'2". That was 12'3" ahead of the Albany meet.
The Tigers placed two in the Pole Vault. Ben Badell was 4th with a vault of 7 feet. That was 1'3" off the vault of Hayden Marrs of Mound City and matched his performance at Albany. Jared Simmons was one of four who tied for 7th with a vault of 6'6". That was 6" off his performance at Albany.
Cole Parman won the Triple Jump handily, beating out Noah Wilmes of Albany by almost 2 feet with a jump of 34'8 3/4". He improved on his personal best jump by almost a foot to beat out Wilmes, who had beaten him in Albany. Cole also handily improved on his Long Jump distance, getting a jump of 16'9 1/2", 9 1/2" better than his Albany distance, to place second in that event behind Mason Rosier of Stanberry. Rosier won with a jump of 17'4". Parman also competed in the 100 Hurdles, where he placed 4th with a time of 16.50. That was .65 of a second off the pace set by Eli Rae of Maysville and .96 of a second better than his performance at Albany.
Cole Parman finished off his day by winning the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 59.48. That was 2.36 seconds better than his time in Albany and he beat out Brandon Bradley of Gallatin, who had beaten him in Albany. Trystan Sunby of Gallatin was second with 1:00:91, Bradley was third with a time of 1:01.52, and Brevyn Ross was 4th with a time of 1:01.58.
Brevyn Ross, who had been a sprinter as an elementary kid, has turned into a middle distance runner in Junior High and he won the 800 despite facing a much tougher field than at Albany. He won with a time of 2:31.39, which was 1.77 seconds ahead of Alex Lawrence of Rock Port and 1.09 seconds better than his time in Albany.
The 4x400 Relay Team was 6th with a time of 4:46.02. That was 19.02 seconds off the pace set by Stanberry and 2.48 seconds off their pace at Albany.
