Obituary -- Mary Lou Piearson 1935-2020

 Mary Lou Piearson, 85, of Adel, Iowa formerly of Maryville, Missouri passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on June 22, 1935 in Hopkins, Missouri to Lyle and Margaret (Allison) Ulmer. She was a 1953 graduate of Hopkins High School and worked as an inspector for the Margaret Davison Housing for twenty years and was a member of Laura Street Baptist Church and the Nodaway County Historical Society. Mary Lou had a true passion for genealogy, flowers, traveling and loved being with her family and friends.

She married Virgil Sharr in 1952 and later married Noble Piearson, who preceded her in death in June 1993. She was also preceded by her parents and an infant daughter, Phyllis Lee Sharr.

She is survived by her three children James Edwin (Nancy) Sharr, Adel, Iowa, John (Naomi) Sharr, Clarinda, Iowa, Katherine Sharr, Des Moines, Iowa, stepchildren, Jay Piearson, Dean Piearson, Melanie Piearson, brother, Phillip (Marge) Ulmer, Las Vegas, Nevada, two sisters, Kathi (Sam) Florea and Judith Ulmer both of Jefferson, Iowa; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Price Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Maryville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer association at www.alz.org or Laura Street Baptist Church.
