Braxton Hightshoe Throws for 200 as Tigers Down Orrick 56-40

Braxton Hightshoe threw for a career high 200 yards Friday and the Tigers overcame 16 penalties and a 34-20 halftime deficit to beat Orrick 56-40. The Tigers fought back in the third and fourth quarters to take a 42-34 lead. Orrick cut the deficit to 42-40, but Worth County tacked on two scores in the last three minutes to get the win.

Worth County got their usual production from Andrew Alarcon, getting 39 carries for 224 yards. Braxton Hightshoe, however, stepped up his game. He completed 8 of his 10 passes for 200 yards and ran for another 43, taking the pressure off Alarcon. Jackson Runde caught three passes for 90 yards, emerging as a receiving threat. Dylan McIntyre had three catches for 67 yards, and Nate Adwell added another catch for 40 yards. 

Leading the tackle charts for Worth County were Nate Adwell with 9, Dylan McIntyre with 8, and Justin Dye, Jackson Runde, and Levi Cassavaugh with 6. One player that stepped up his game in the win was Tanner Ridge, who broke into the varsity lineup for the first time and had 5 tackles and forced a fumble, recovered by Dye. Chase Atkins had 4, Andrew Alarcon 3, and Jace Cousatte 1, as he also broke into the lineup. Justin Dye had 2 sacks, and Chase Atkins and Nate Adwell had 1 each. Dylan McIntyre had two picks for the Tigers.
