Lorraine K. (Heitman) Alavi, 72, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois formerly of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Lorraine was born on March 29, 1948 in Maryville to Lawrence H. and Catherine E. (Kelmel) Heitman. She was a 1966 graduate of Mount Alverno Academy for girls. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin brother, Larry Heitman in 1994 and a niece, Shelly Richardson in 1986.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Alavi, Centralia, Illinois and Brenda Mitchell, Mt. Vernon, Illinois; brother, Eddie (Betty) Heitman, Skidmore, Missouri and two sisters, Margie Stoner, Maryville, Missouri and Clara (Ron) Sobotka, Ravenwood, Missouri; two grandchildren, Zachary Mitchell and Makayla Mitchell of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Saturday, October 17th at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church under the care of Price Funeral Home. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Maryville. Rosary 6 pm Friday, October 16th at the Price Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 8 pm. Memorials can be made in care of SSM Hospice of Mt.
