A New Hampton woman was killed in a three car accident Thursday afternoon on Highway 136 two miles west of Bethany. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2011 GMC 3500 driven by Lucas Holcomb (28) of Albany and a 2013 Buick Verano driven by Diane Gibson (68) of New Hampton were westbound and a 2012 GMC Yukon driven by Lesa Gard (55) of Bethany was eastbound at around 5:10 pm. The Gard vehicle crossed the center line, struck the driver’s side of the Holcomb vehicle, and then struck the Gibson vehicle head on. Gibson was killed in the accident, while Gard received serious injuries and was life flighted to Truman Medical Center. Holcomb was not injured in the accident.
