A false Facebook rumor is circulating alleging that Microsoft founder Bill Gates and infectious disease specialist Dr. Anthony Fauci somehow stand to make money if Moderna, one of the companies seeking to make a Coronavirus vaccine, succeeds in getting FDA approval.
According to Snopes:
–Dr. Fauci has never been the CEO of Moderna.
–Bill Gates did not attend Cornell, which Dr. Fauci attended in the 1960’s, and could not have possibly been roommates with him.
–I.G. Farben, the notorious German chemical and pharmaceutical company, was dissolved after World War II and broken up. Moderna was not founded until 2010.
–George Soros, who is alleged to have rebranded I.G. Farben, was 14 years old when the Nazis surrendered in 1945 and could not have been the CEO of that company at the time.
–Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of rampant sex trafficking, had little or nothing to do with Moderna and was already wealthy when that company was founded in 2010.
