A Facebook rumor making the rounds alleges that Brooklyn Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, and then deleted, a post calling for governors to maintain restrictions on businesses until after the election so that President Donald Trump would not get reelected.
Snopes points out that this is a fabrication. They checked out databases that capture and preserve deleted tweets. None of them have such a tweet from the Congresswoman. Anybody can compose fake tweets and make it look like some disliked politician said it.
