Zane Reed Throws for 475 Yards as Panthers Reload

 Zane Reed, who didn’t even play last year for Pattonsburg, took the helm and threw for 475 yards Friday as Pattonsburg beat LeBlond 80-40. LeBlond jumped on the Panthers early, but then Pattonsburg recovered to score 40 points by the end of the first quarter and build up a 60-16 lead by halftime. 

Reed completed 23 passes in 39 attempts for 475 yards and 8 touchdowns and only one pick. He ran for another 72 yards. Brody Langfitt had 5 carries for 58 yards, Gage Iddings 4 carries for 26 yards, and Cameron Jones, back from a knee injury, had 1 carry for 23 yards.

Brett Emig fueled the Panthers’ passing game, getting 10 catches for 237 yards. Cameron Jones had 7 catches for 158 yards, Kaden Locker one catch for 34 yards, Gage Iddings 1 catch for 33 yards, Brody Langfitt 3 catches for 17 yards, and Sam Coin 1 catch for 7 yards. 

Brett Emig led the tackle chart with eight tackles. Cameron Jones and Brody Langfitt had 6, Gage Iddings and Sam Coin had 4, Tyson Gibson, Kaden DeJong, Collin Briggs, and Skyler Todd all had 3, Brandon Hamilton had 2, and Kaden Locker and James Norton had 1 each. 

LeBlond turnovers fueled the Panthers as Pattonsburg forced five. Gage Iddings, Brody Langfitt, and Sam Coin all had 1 pick each. Kaden Locker and Cameron Jones all had 1 fumble recovery.
