Over the weekend of August 29th and 30th, someone dumped debris along a county road near Denver on county right of way.
On September 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Deghontae Bowman (32) of Lee’s Summit in Gentry County on charges of DWI and Failure to Secure Load.
On September 1st, Harrison County Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer filed charges against Garrett Green (28) of New Hampton alleging Assault, Trespass, and Peace Disturbance.
On September 2nd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Travis McCorkendale (41) of Lee’s Summit in Gentry County on a charge of DWI.
On September 2nd, a strange car with Indiana license plates was seen parked in Sheridan. When questioned by a local resident, they stated they were trying to get AT&T service.
On September 3rd, Caldwell County Prosecutor Brady Kopek filed charges against Wesley Adams (24) of Breckenridge alleging Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Distribution of a Vaping Device to a Minor. Northwest Mo Info reports that Adams was an employee at the Breckenridge School and and the charges arose when he allegedly provided a 12 year old student with a vape pen.
On September 4th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Lynn Trammell (49) of Ridgeway in Harrison County on charges of No Valid License (Felony), No Plates, and No Insurance. She was subsequently charged by Prosecutor Johnathan Meyer, who added a charge of Speeding (26+ mph over).
On September 4th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Samantha Greenwell (39) of Albany in Gentry County alleging DWI (Felony).
On September 4th, the power went out in Maryville and much of the area for two hours, including Sheridan, delaying the Maryville High School football game and the East Atchison-North/West Nodaway football game. Grant City was out, but the Worth County football game was not affected. The Worth County School is on the United Electric line.
On September 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Caleb Phillips filed charges against Andrea Downs (40) of Maryville alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony).
On September 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Brandon Ballard (30) of St. Joseph in Nodaway County on Speeding and a Buchanan County Warrant for Failure to Appear (Traffic Violation).
On September 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Logan Evans (29) of Conception in Nodaway County on a DeKalb County Warrant for Failure to Appear (Traffic Violation).
On September 6th, a female dog in heat attacked a Grant City woman’s goats, killing two baby goats.
On September 6th, a Grant City woman reported that someone had stolen her Joe Biden sign.
On September 7th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Milton Pratt (67) of Stanberry in Gentry County on a charge of DWI.
Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
