On Thursday, Kansas City Pharmacist Robert Courtney was denied early release by a federal judge, Northwest Mo Info reports. In 2002, Courtney was sentenced to 30 years for diluting medications for thousands of cancer patients. This year, he applied for early release, citing the Coronavirus pandemic. Federal prosecutors had alleged that Courtney had, in some cases, given cancer patients just 1% of the chemotherapy medications they were prescribed. Over 275 wrongful death lawsuits were filed against Courtney.
