Conservation Agents Make Various Arrests at Wildlife Areas

Brandon Lyddon, Conservation Agent

The following are just a few examples of the work of Missouri Conservation Law Enforcement Agents in recent weeks in NW MO. Agents work hard to protect Missouri’s wildlife and keep conservation areas, lakes, and rivers safe for all to use.

Over limit cases of catfish and bull frogs, boating safety violations enforcement at a conservation area lake including unlawful operation, welfare check on a suicidal subject, litter enforcement on several individuals who left behind a five gallon bucket full of beer cans on a river sandbar, a search warrant revealed the taking of multiple deer without permits and not checking them in, and at a conservation area parking lot at night an agent found subjects in possession of narcotics and above the legal limit to drive and made felony arrests.

To report conservation violations, you can contact Conservation Law Enforcement Agents directly (numbers on MDC website and in the fall/spring deer/turkey regulation booklets) or by calling the county or state dispatch center. You can also call the OGT (Operation Game Thief) 24-hour hotline at 1-800-392-1111, you can remain anonymous and rewards are possible.
