Norma was born on January 17, 1937 in Hopkins, Missouri to George R. and Pearly M. (Logan) DeMott. She was a graduate of Hopkins High School. Norma was a member of the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Rosanna Chapter 262 for over 50 years and the Elks Club.
She worked as a school secretary and later the Hopkins State Bank and was the bookkeeper of Stites Oil Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ronald DeMott and one sister, Delores Motsinger.
She married Byron Stites on July 17, 1956 in Hopkins, Missouri. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include daughter, Tina West (David Nisley); son, Todd (Mary Jane) Stites; four grandchildren, Casey (Jenna) West, Logan (Kara) West and Shelby and Madison Stites; four great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Layne, Stella and Austin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stites has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home. Graveside Services 11 am Thursday, January 3rd at the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, Missouri.
