North Harrison’s teams split with Tri-County Friday during their opener.
The girls dropped a 52-41 game to Tri-County. Forced to replace Payton Craig and Brandy Rivet due to graduation, they struggled to handle the ball against the Mustangs’ swarming, pressing defense. Tri-County made nine 3-pointers during the game. North Harrison was down 14-5 after one and the margin stayed there for most of the game.
Emma Craig had 14 points for the Shamrocks. Addie Slaughter had 9, Ashlynn Gilpatrick 7, Kami Gibson 7, Mason Cracraft 2, and Olivia Babinski 2. Gilpatrick had two 3-pointers for North Harrison.
The boys won their opener 75-37. Brett Emig had 25 points and Logan Craig 24 for the Shamrocks.
