Courthouse News for September 12th, 2018

On September 1st, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department reported that a 2011 Ford Pickup driven by Herbert Parrott (22) of Diagonal was northbound on Broadway in Diagonal at around 2 am in rainy and wet conditions when he lost control and hit a flag pole, post office box, concrete ledge, and handrails. The damages to property owned by the Postal Service were estimated at $5,000. Parrott was charged with Careless & Imprudent Driving.

On September 1st, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Kyle Cook (31) of Bethany alleging Violation of a Protection Order.

On September 3rd, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Carl Johnson (40) of Kansas City alleging Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

On September 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Ethan Fredricks (19) of Maryville alleging Stealing a Motor Vehicle, Watercraft, or Aircraft.

On September 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Marshall Pearcy (21) of Maryville alleging Stealing a Motor Vehicle, Watercraft, or Aircraft.

On September 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Justin Willis alleging Stealing a Motor Vehicle, Watercraft, or Aircraft.

On September 4th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Pamela Dickey (65) of Maryville alleging DWI and Careless & Imprudent Driving.

On September 4th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Trevin Wilmes (22) of Maryville alleging two counts 2nd Degree Burglary and one count each 1st Degree Property Damage and Stealing.

On September 4th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Justin Humphrey (36) of New Hampton alleging Trespassing.

On September 4th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Beth Ann Miles (28) of Bethany alleging Theft of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Tampering with Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution.

On September 4th, Gentry County Assistant Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Judith Wilkinson (18) of Darlington alleging Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. On September 6th, additional charges were filed alleging Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On September 4th, Gentry County Assistant Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Joshua Kincaid (34) of Stanberry alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving and DWI (Prior).

On September 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Makayla Dailey (19) of Hopkins alleging Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Stealing a Controlled Substance.

On September 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Austin Haupt (21) of Maryville alleging Peace Disturbance.

On September 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Marquall Holman (23) of Maryville alleging Peace Disturbance.

On September 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Brett Majetich (22) of Maryville alleging Failure to Register and Driving While Revoked.

Sometime during the night of September 5th or morning of September 6th, someone stole a 1971 Triumph Bonneville Motorcycle belonging to David Parman.

On September 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Kenny Kobbe (49) of Worth alleging Driving While Revoked (2nd or 3rd Offense).

On September 6th, Special Prosecutor David Baird filed charges against Seth Brown (19) of Grant City in Worth County alleging Littering and Minor in Possession. Regular Prosecutor Brett Hurst disqualified himself from the case.

On September 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against John Kirsch (29) of Clarinda alleging Failure to Display Plates. He pleaded guilty on September 10th and paid $125.50 in fines and court costs.

On September 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against John Mancuso (17) of Grant City alleging Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, Resulting in an Accident.

On September 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Jennifer Larkin (67) of St. Joseph alleging Driving 20-25 mph Over the Speed Limit.

On September 6th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department says Samuel Walling, 54 of Lamoni, IA was traveling East on 280th St, south of Mount Ayr, IA, when he lost control and crashed his car. A good Samaritan notified Deputies that a crash occurred and a man was inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation Walling was arrested by the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department for Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability. Walling was booking into the Ringgold County Jail and is awaiting the Magistrate.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on September 7, 2018, a search warrant was executed in the 600 block of East Ohio in Lenox by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. Subsequent to the search warrant, Kevin Jungers, 31, of Lenox was arrested on two counts of Unlawfully Manufacturing Marijuana, a Class “D” felony, Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a Class “D” felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, a “Serious Misdemeanor”, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, (Methamphetamine and Marijuana) both “Simple Misdemeanors” and is being held at the Taylor County Jail on $16,000 bond.

On September 7th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Josh Kincaid (34) of Stanberry in Gentry County alleging DWI. This is in addition to the case against him that was filed on September 4th. He was subsequently charged as a prior offender by Assistant Prosecutor Jessica Jones on September 8th.

On September 7th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Brenden Schooler (20) of Mercer in Harrison County alleging Driving Under the Influence of Drugs.

On September 7th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Hunter Brown (20) of Bethany alleging Tampering with a Motor Vehicle.

On September 7th, Gentry County Assistant Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Michael Sprague (49) of Albany alleging Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On September 7th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Luke Edick (37) of Barnard alleging Stealing $750 or more.

On September 8, 2018, Walter Meier, 54, of Blockton, was arrested by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to deliver (Methamphetamine), a Class "C" Felony. Meier is being held at the Taylor County Jail on $10,000 cash only bond.

On September 8th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Johnathon Rodgers (29) of Beatrice alleging 4th Degree Assault, Harassment, and DWI.

On September 9th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Bryson Smith (21) of Maryville in Worth County on charges of Driving While Revoked and No Insurance.

On September 9th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Ethan McVey (18) of Bethany alleging Tampering with Electronic Monitoring Equipment.

On September 10th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Angela Marie Helm (31) of Kansas City alleging Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Speeding by 16-19 mph, and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway.

On September 10th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Tanner Wilcox (19) of Parnell alleging Minor Visibly Intoxicated and Speeding 11-15 mph Over the Zone.

On September 10th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Timothy Oswald (37) of Maryville alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident.

On September 10th, during the North Nodaway-North Harrison softball game, someone backed into the north foul pole of the baseball field at Hopkins, knocking it about 45 degrees over. Then, they drove off.

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
