A St. Joseph couple, a man and a woman, were arrested in Worth County Monday night and Tuesday morning July 23rd and 24th. Worth County Deputy Scott Sherer flagged down their vehicle, but they both fled. The woman was apprehended immediately after running for about 100 yards. The man fled into nearby timber north of Grant City near Irena. Worth County Sheriff’s deputies, Highway Patrol officers, and Nodaway County Deputy Austin Hann along with a drug dog gave pursuit, but ended it when it got dark. In the morning, the man knocked on Jack Wilcox’s door; however, Wilcox took him to the Worth County Sheriff’s Office, where he was arrested.
