Josh Daniels Wins Country Showdown in Maryville

The Maryville Forum, in its July 26th issue, reported that Worth County grad Josh Daniels, has won the KNIM Pickup Country Showdown at the Nodaway County Fair last Friday, July 20th. He was active in Worth County’s music program as a high school student under then-music teacher Jim Spiers.  He went to Culver-Stockton, got a music degree, and was a voice teacher in Illinois before coming home to Worth County. His real name is Josh Kollitz. He won a $500 first prize as a result of his win.

Daniels performs country and gospel music and plays in concert every 3rd Sunday at the Bedford Palace. His dream is to go to Nashville and strike it big. He had previously made it to the semifinal round at the Nodaway County Fair in 2016.
