Three Injured in Maryville Wreck; One Lifeflighted

Three people were injured in a wreck near Maryville Thursday evening, June 1st at around 6:23 pm. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 1999 Dodge 1500 Extension Cab Truck driven by Michael Hall (32) of Hopkins was northbound on Business 71 and failed to yield for a stop sign. A 2013 Chevy Impala driven by Jacki Thrasher (58) of Clarinda was northbound on 71. The Dodge Truck struck the Impala on the left front. The Impala drove off the roadway. The Truck overturned, ejecting a passenger and came to rest on its driver side. The Impala came to rest on its wheels.
A passenger in the Dodge, Karen Ebrecht (51) of Hopkins, was seriously injured and transported to St. Francis and subsequently lifeflighted to Mosaic in St. Joseph. Another passenger in the Dodge, Michael Ebrecht (28) of Hopkins, received minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital. Neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck. The driver of the Impala, Jacki Thrasher, received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis.
