2012 Tire Collections

The Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments, along with the Commissioners of Atchison, Gentry and Nodaway counties, announce three Waste Tire Collections to be held in September.  Mark your calendar for the collection in your area:  September 8, in Maryville at the Nodaway County Maintenance Barn, located at 1516 E. Halsey Street; September 15 in Albany at the Gentry County Maintenance Barn, located at 1806 W business HW 136; and September 22, in Phelps City at Entire Recycling, located at 13974 US Hwy 136.  Tires will be accepted from residents of Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway and Worth counties.
Photo identification is required.


Tires accepted free of charge within approved limit:
10 passenger tires
$1 for each additional tire

4 semi-truck tires
$5 for each additional tire

2 rear tractor tires
$10 for each additional tire

Rims will be accepted on car and light truck tires only.  The Waste Tire Collections are available for the residents of the five counties only.  Businesses that repair or sell tires are not eligible for the program and are subject to the rules established by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources governing the legal disposal of waste tires.
