Last week, the Page County Sheriff’s Department arrested Jerry Paul Crump (56) of Shenandoah alleging Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
On March 2nd, Judge Roger Prokes sentenced Cain Francois (21) of Glenwood to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Attempted Sodomy (Felony) and Domestic Assault (Felony). Court retains jurisdiction for 120 days, after which the defendant will either serve the full four years, or placed on parole.
On March 3rd, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed charges against Brian Spencer Pummell of St. Joseph alleging Deceptive Business Practices. KQ2 reports that he had allegedly taken more than $18,000 in payments in return for a promise to do construction work that he never performed.
On March 3rd, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested James Welling (24) of Delphos on a charge of Domestic Abuse. He was held on no bond until seen by a magistrate.
Lucas Samo, 29, of Clarinda was arrested on March 4, 2020 near the intersection of 4th Street and A Street in New Market, Iowa. Samo was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, Second Offense. Samo was released from the Taylor County Jail after posting $2,000 bond.
On March 4th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Breann Johanningmeier (30) of Hale (MO) alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony).
On March 4th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Evan Hurley (19) of Maryville alleging Delivery of Marijuana (Felony) and DWI.
On March 5th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Ronald Angle (52) of Denver alleging Violation of a Protection Order.
On March 5th, a suburban St. Louis man was accused of livestreaming threats to bomb and kill people in an entertainment district. The AP reports that Jeremy Carnier (48) of University City (MO) was charged with Terrorism. The charges state that he had dressed as the Joker, complete with makeup, talking to the camera as he was putting on a costume and making threats.
On March 5th, Frank Spencer (45) of Columbia was charged with Abandonment of a Corpse after his wife’s body was found buried behind their home. She was last seen in November 2018, and she was reported missing in early 2019. The AP reports that he had allegedly told people he was leaving Missouri for Atlanta, that his wife was going with him, and told one neighbor that, “Whatever happened, I didn’t do it.”
On March 5th, the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department posted the following on their Facebook Page:

On March 5th, Harrison County Sheriff Josh Eckerson took his own life after charges were filed against him in Daviess County. He had been charged with Misuse of Official Information, Trespass, and Domestic Assault. Under Missouri Law, when the Sheriff’s office is vacant, the coroner performs duties required to be performed by the Sheriff, until the Harrison County Commission appoints a sheriff. The Harrison County Coroner will assume duties under state law.
On March 6th, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office filed charges against Matt Pearl (42) and Emily Pearl (35) of Rea in Gentry County alleging Failure to Insure Worker’s Compensation.
On March 6th, Dylan Welch pleaded guilty to Domestic Assault and was sentenced to two years supervised probation with seven days shock time in jail. Defendant was given leave for work release, subject to Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department rules and regulations.
On March 6th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Tiana Johnson (46) of Kansas City in Harrison County on a charge of DWI.
On March 6, 2020, at 8:44 PM Ringgold County Dispatch received a 911 call about a man with a gun at Mount Ayr High School. Deputies arrived at the school shortly after the call. Thomas Kinton (56) of Ellston, IA was arrested for carrying weapons on school grounds, possession of a dangerous weapon while intoxicated, and consumption of alcohol in a public place. Kinton is being held at the Ringgold County Jail until seen by a magistrate.
On March 6, 2020 at 8:16 pm Baylee Kolene Stark, age 23 of Kellerton, was arrested on the charges of Domestic Abuse Assault-1st Offense. She was transported and booked into the Ringgold County Jail.
On March 8th, Michael Tyson (33) of Albany was charged in Fremont County with Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used, and Introducing Intoxicants Into an Institution. KMA reports that that charges arose after he had allegedly smuggled meth into the Fremont County Jail and distributed it to another inmate on two occasions. He is being held on $150,000 bond and is also being held for Parole Violation in Missouri.
On March 8th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Luke Thompson (19) of Union Star in Gentry County on charges of DWI, Minor in Possession, and Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident).
Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office is seeking information related to a fire in the Martinsville area on March 8, 2020. A reward of up $5,000.00 is available for information leading to an arrest of the person or persons responsible for starting the fire. Your information can be kept anonymous.
On March 8th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Jesus Ramirez (35) of Sebastian (TX) in Nodaway County alleging No Valid License and Speeding.
On March 9th, KMA reported that a Bedford man, Aaron Volkmar (46), was sentenced to two years probation, $5,000 in fines, $10,000 in restitution, and $100 to the Crime Victims Fund after he was charged at the federal level with illegally tagging a deer and assisting with the transportation of deer across state lines in 2013 while providing a guided hunt.

On March 9th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Cody Galyan (20) of Burlington Junction alleging 3 counts Failure to Check Deer, 2 counts Failure to Follow Hunting Limits, 4 counts Hunting Deer with Illegal Weapon, 3 counts Loaning, Altering, Predating, or Altering a Deer Permit, 3 counts Hunting with Artificial Light, and 1 count Hunting from the Road.
On March 9th, KMA reports that Fremont County (IA) deputies were called to a residence in Tabor, where a man with a knife was causing a disturbance. Following a one hour standoff, Kain Endicott (34) of Tabor attempted to exit, was tased by officers, and one of them got a laceration on the hand. He was arrested and charged with Going Armed with Intent, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Interference with Official Acts, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On March 9th, a Sheridan resident posted on Facebook that someone was dumping trash in the dumpster behind the Community Building.
On March 10th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ryan Still (39) of Mount Ayr on a charge of Criminal Mischief. He was being held on no bond until seen by a magistrate.
On March 10th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Alexis Thomsen (21) of Bethany alleging Driving While Revoked and No Plates.

On March 10th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Justin Crewse (34) of Davis City alleging Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway and Driving While Revoked.
