Judy Lane Ray was born December, 9, 1948 in Hatfield, Missouri to James and Ruby (Murrin) Miller. She passed away on April 9, 2025 in St. Joseph, Missouri at the age of 76.
Judy graduated from Eagleville High School
and went on to graduate from cosmetology school. She worked as a beautician for
a few years. Later in life she was a homemaker and a cook at Lenox Care Center
and Mt. Ayr Healthcare until her retirement.
Judy married Harold Ray on May 28, 1978 at
the Lotts Grove Church where they were both members. Together they had five
children.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband
Harold, parents, infant son James Willard Ray; brothers: George Miller and Bill
and wife Brenda Miller.
Left to cherish her memory are children:
Pamela Ray of Bethany, Missouri, Cindy Percifield (Scott Derscheid) of Delphos,
Iowa, Harold Allen Ray of Forest City, Missouri, Lewis Rex Ray of Troy, Kansas
and daughter-in-law Waunita Giles of Thayer, IA, grandchildren: Ronny, Geoff,
Holly, Danny, Melissa, Tyler, Kevin, Charity, Latanya, Morrigan, Jacklyn, Jacob
and Addyson and several great-grandchildren, brother Norvil (Edith) Miller and
sister-in-law Peggy Miller.
Judy will be sadly missed by family and
friends.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday,
April 14, 2024 at the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri with
visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Grant City
Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph, Missouri.
