Chase Sorensen 1982-2025

Chase Gordon Sorensen, age 43, Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Grant City, Missouri died unexpectedly at his home on April 6, 2025.

Chase was born January 1, 1982, in Independence, Missouri.  He was the son of Gordie and Billie (Weeks) Sorensen.

Chase was a graduate of Worth County R-3, Class of 2000.

He was employed by Tyson Foods in Sedalia.

Chase was baptized and a member of the Gentry Christian Church, Gentry, Missouri.

Chase loved the outdoors and growing up on the family farm near Denver, which included hunting and fishing, riding horses, racing dirt bikes and anything else he could think of getting into being on the farm.   Chase like to tear stuff up (or maybe taking it apart would be a better way of saying it), but he would always tinker with the projects until he got things fixed and working again.  Chase also used his gift of drawing for many hours of enjoyment.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Bill and Ferne Weeks, his fraternal grandparents Eldon and Jane Sorensen.

Chase is survived by his daughter Adrian Sorensen, Liberty, Missouri, son Emmett Sorensen, Richmond, Missouri, parents Billie and Gordie Sorensen, Denver, brother Brent (Chancey) Sorensen, Albany, nieces, nephews and a host of other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Andrews-Hann Funeral Chapel, Grant City.  The burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Denver, Missouri.

Everyone is invited to Billie and Gordie’s home after the service.
