Kristin Herndon Breaks Into starting Lineup at Knox College

Former North Nodaway standout Kristin Herndon broke into the starting lineup at Knox College as a post player, averaging 6.6 points per game and 7.5 boards. She was also a shot blocking machine, leading the team with 36 blocks for the previous school year. She attempted 105 shots and made 55 for a .524 scoring percentage; instead of being a 3-point shooter like she was at North Nodaway, she has turned into a traditional post player at 6'0".

Against Eureka College, she got her first double double of the year, getting 12 points and 11 boards in the team's 70-57 win. Despite the team's 65-62 loss to Principia, Herndon went beast mode in that game, getting 10 points and 16 boards on November 27th. On New Year's Day despite a 62-60 loss to Luther, Herndon secured 12 boards. On January 9th againsts Grinell, she scored 10 in the team's 74-60 win.

The Prairie Fire got off to a bad start that year, starting off 2-9, but then they started winning and Herndon started getting better along with the rest of the team. Her blocked shot numbers and steals went up in the second half.

Against Illinois College, Herndon got 9 points and 9 boards, blocked 3 shots, and swiped 5 in the team's 66-57 win. In the team's 63-45 win against Lake Forest on January 22nd, Herndon had 9 points, 13 boards, and swiped 4. One of her best games came against Monmouth on January 29th. She had 10 boards, 14 boards, and 7 blocks, nearly getting a triple double. Against Lawrence, she had 3 more blocks.

On February 5th, in the team's 61-42 win against Cornell, she had 11 points, 9 boards, and 4 blocks. In the team's 80-76 win against Illinois College, she had a season high 16 points, 9 boards, and 3 more blocks.
