The January 2nd, 1918 Worth County Tribune ran the following piece about a wreck that injured three Sheridan teens:
A big Studebaker Six automobile driven by A.R. Beezley of Sheridan turned around and over north of the Ross corner Friday night [December 28th, 1917] while en route to Worth with some Sheridan band boys for the concert. The car was going between 30 and 40 miles an hour when the accident happened. F.A. Baker, J. Hurley Dye, and Paul Simons were the passengers, and they, and Mr. Beezley all received injuries from which they are now recovering nicely.
Mr. Beezley’s nose was bruised pretty badly and Mr. Baker and Mr. Dye were both badly bruised up. Mr. Simons got quite a gash in his leg at the knee, cutting to the bone, from the windshield. He is now at the home of his uncle, J.M. Simons, on South High Street.
