The Farm-to-Table program will accept raw fruits and vegetable grown by local gardeners and use it in the meals served the facility residents.
Local residents who are planning their upcoming gardens are encouraged to plant extra to share with the Worth County Care and Rehabilitation Center residents. Raw fruits and vegetables grown from local gardens will be prepared and served through the facility kitchen. The produce must be in sound condition, free from spoilage and other contaminants.
Worth County is home to some of the best gardeners in Missouri, it is a hobby for some and a passion for others and facility residents can benefit from their bountiful harvest.
Local gardeners who would like to participate in the ‘Farm-to-Table’ program are asked to contact Kelly Summa @ wccc.kelly@yahoo.com
