A 17 year old girl was struck and killed Wednesday morning on I-29 near Oregon at around 3:18 am. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2015 Peterbilt Truck driven by David Collier (27) of Independence was southbound on I-29, while pedestrian Autumn Buckmaster (17) of Kansas City was standing in the median. Buckmaster walked into the path of the Peterbilt and was struck and killed. Collier was not injured in the accident.

Autumn is my daughter, i only want the driver to know it wasnt his fault, i have tried finding him, i can't imagine his guilt, i HATE what happened, but David, wrong place at wrong time, it was NOT your fault.
I'm so sorry for your loss I was wondering what led her to that spot I mean it's very rural area really ..sorry for even asking but her story has been driving me nuts
Thats where she ran out of gas, so thats why that location. I still can't lay flowers there yet, I cant make myself go there. That was my baby girl, and no warning it was coming, her baby brother got the goodbye call, by then it was predetermined.
I only posted this in hopes the driver can lose his guilt, i can't imagine how he feels, just as he can't imagine how I feel, but I have no anger towards him, I wanted him to know that, it was an accident, i don't want this event torturing his heart. Thats all. I miss my baby, I will never get her back, but I do NOT blame him.
