Radio Station Plays Glenn Miller Glen Island Casino Broadcasts

The radio station EZ 1430 out of Denver (MO) is in the process of playing the entire Glen Island Casino broadcasts featuring Glenn Miller and his orchestra, originally broadcast in 1939. Glenn Miller lived in Grant City from 1915 to 1918, when he made enough money from milking cows to purchase his first trombone. He subsequently moved to Fort Morgan (CO).

To listen on demand, visit https://ez1430.radio.com, click the “Media” pulldown tab, and click “Star Spangled Radio Hour.” This is the 80th anniversary of these broadcasts, which helped propel Glenn Miller to the top of the charts.
