On July 24th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department says that Robin Lynn Birkenholtz (38) of Mount Ayr was traveling west on 180th St. when Clay Wimer (21) of Diagonal, Iowa was slowing down to turn into a farm driveway. Birkenholtz attempted to pass the Wimer vehicle, hitting the trailer being pulled. Birkenholtz’s 1997 Toyota was totaled and the 2002 Wilson Grain Trailer of Wimer’s sustained severe damage. Birkenholtz was charged for Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability-Accident and Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Canceled, or Revoked. No injuries were reported.
On July 28th, a Lamoni resident posted on Facebook that a phone scammer attempted to get their Social Security Number, saying it was about to be shut off due to fraudulent activity. After he hung up, they attempted to call back twice more. On July 31st, a Rock Port man reported getting two such calls. Other Facebook posters reported getting as many as four.

Deputies made the following arrests subsequent to a search of a vehicle in the 600 block of Madison Street in Bedford on August 1, 2019: Skyler Ledford, 26, of St Joseph, Missouri, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ledford was additionally cited for being in possession of an open container as a passenger in a vehicle. He was released on a summons to appear at a later date. Kaela Page, 26, of Bedford, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on a summons to appear at a later date. Trace Matheny, 19, of Clarinda, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on a summons to appear at a later date.

On August 3rd, a Grant City resident reported on Facebook that someone drove on High Street at speeds of over 60 miles per hour. The speed limit on Grant City streets is 25 mph.
On the evening of August 3rd, residents of Sheridan reported that someone on an ATV drove down the sidewalk along 246 while children and pedestrians were present at a high rate of speed.
On August 4th, Anthony Teeters of Bedford was arrested at the 500 block of Jackson Street. in Bedford on August 4, 2019. He was charged with domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury. He is being held at the Taylor County Jail on no bond pending an initial appearance with the magistrate.
On August 4th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Arry Johnson (42) of Anadarko (OK) in Harrison County alleging Speeding.
On August 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Austin Lamb (23) of Fayetteville (AR) in Harrison County alleging Speeding and No Valid Driver’s License.
