School Bus Accident in Albany Seriously Injures One
A school bus accident in Albany seriously injured an Albany resident. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 1992 GMC school bus drived by Brooke Kreatz, 26, of Chillicothe was westbound on 136 in Albany when a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Minivan driven by Jeane Wilson, 78, of Albany, was turning and traveled into the oncoming path of the school bus. Impact occurred as the school bus struck the driver's side of the Town & Country. The bus received minor damage while the Town & Country was totalled. The school bus came to rest facing west in the roadway. The Town & Country came to rest facing east. The school bus was occupied by 9 students and 2 adults, none of whom were injured. Wilson was life-flighted to Heartland Regional Medical Center of St. Joseph. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
