Obituary -- Savannah "Scooby" Baker 2000-2018

Savannah Lynn “Scooby” Baker, 18, St. Joseph, MO passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at her home.

She was born on October 25, 2000 the daughter of John Baker and Samantha (Briggs) Throckmorton.
Savannah enjoyed spending time with her friends and nieces and nephews, Casey’s pizza, and she loved animals.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Tucker and Wacey Hutchins; paternal grandmother, Lova Nelson; grandparents, Debra and Wesley Burton and her step-dad, Jason Redmond.

Savannah is survived by her father, John (Sarah) Baker, Tulsa, OK; mother, Samantha (Darin) Throckmorton, Clarskdale, MO; siblings, Bailey Hutchins, Stanberry, MO, Clint Hutchins, Albany, MO, Kyle Redmond, Princeton, MO, Tyler Redmond, Ridgeway, MO, Sylvia Redmond, Stanberry, MO, Chance Baker, Cactus, and Cutter “Peanut” Baker all of Tulsa, OK; maternal grandmother, Sherry Briggs, Des Moines, IA; maternal grandfather, Russell (Patty) Briggs, Colfax, IA; paternal grandfather, Verle (JoAnna) Baker, Clarinda, IA; grammy and grandad, Robert and OraKay Redmond, Stanberry, MO; grandfather, Mark Nelson, Hopkins, MO; best friend, Megan Nave, Maysville, MO and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The Family will hold a celebration of Savannah’s life from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4 at the Stanberry Community Center, Stanberry, MO. Memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses and/or a donation made in Savannah’s memory to a suicide prevention organization in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
