Florence Claire Flanary, 92, Burlington Junction, Missouri died Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Nodaway Nursing Home.
She was born May 24, 1926 in Pickering, Missouri to Lester and Claire (Hanna) Hollensbe.
Florence was a 1943 graduate of Horace Mann High School, Maryville, Missouri and was a homemaker and co-owner of B.J. Auction House. She also served as Burlington Junction's City Clerk for over thirty years.
She was a member of the Burlington Junction United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Rolla-Dicks American Legion Auxiliary Post #315.
Preceding Florence in death were her parents, husband Jay Flanary (January 18, 1998), son Michael Flanary (July 30, 2001), daughter-in-law Sue Flanary and sisters: Helen Thomas, Doris Bremer and Hazel Lewis.
Surviving is son Paul (Sherry) Flanary, Maryville and daughter Sherrill (Ron) Williams, Forsyth, MO; 7 grandchildren: Janelle (David) Mather, Shawn (Julie) Rowlett, Brent Flanary, Julie (Deryn) Buntrock, Robyn Reed, Penny (Woody) Chase and Heather (Rob) McCormick; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 17th, also at Price Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville.
A family gathering for friends and family will be held after the funeral dinner at the Burlington Junction United Methodist Church.
