Loaded Softball District for Tigers

Like football, the Worth County girls softball team will have to go through one of the most loaded districts in the state in order to get out of Class 1, District 16. Other district foes include Albany, the District 15 runner-up from last year; Platte Valley, which made it to Sectionals; North Nodaway, which returns most of their main players from the last two years; Northeast Nodaway, which doubled its win total from last year and showed further improvement this summer; and Stanberry, which had a banner season before a disappointing exit in district semifinals.

North Harrison, which won third in state last year, has a solid Princeton squad in its district. Other foes include Gilman City, Mercer, and East Harrison.

North Andrew, the team which toppled Stanberry in districts, moves to District 14. The addition of South Holt has scrambled the district seedings; they will also be in District 14. Maysville, the team which went to Quarterfinals last year before losing to North Harrison, is also in it along with King City, DeKalb, and Stewartsville. District 13 includes Braymer, Gallatin, Pattonsburg, Tri-County, and Winston.
