On August 2nd, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Mary Lou Browning (38) of Coffey alleging two counts of stealing and two counts of forgery. This was in conjunction with the audit of the City of Coffey that was conducted by the Missouri State Auditor’s Office that was released in July. The Auditor’s Office, in a news release sent Thursday, alleged that over $60,000 went missing from the city, that Browning failed to make deposits, received improper payroll payments, and falsified board minutes and financial reports. Bond was set at $35,000, with defendant given leave to post 10% cash.
On August 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Ronnie Dine (38) of Grant City alleging Failure to Register Motor Vehicle.
On August 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Adrian Fletchall (20) of Grant City alleging Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
On August 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against William Teager (27) of Sheridan alleging Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility (2nd & Subsequent Offense) and Careless and Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident. The charges were filed in conjunction with the accident that occurred northeast of Sheridan on July 24th.
On August 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Krista Spainhower (55) of Grant City alleging Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
On August 6th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against James M. Kerwin (76) of Grant City alleging Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
A citizen’s tip to the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office on August 7th alerted deputies to Justin Moore (Buchanan County) who had absconded while on parole. His conviction was for a firearms violation. Law Enforcement from the Sheriff’s Office, Maryville Police, and Missouri State Highway Patrol converged on a trailer park on South Main in Maryville. Moore was taken into custody and he is currently in jail.
On August 7th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Jarrett DePriest (35) of Bethany for Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
On August 8th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Ciara Swenson (18) of Atchison (KS) alleging Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Prior Offender), Resisting Arrest, and Trespassing (2nd Degree).
On August 8th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Amber Dorman (39) of Maryville alleging 1st Degree Burglary, Stealing, Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Endangering the Welfare of a Child Involving Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Prior Offense).
On Thursday, August 9th, Judge Roger Prokes revoked the probation of Charles Raymond Tripp due to three motions to revoke. He was on probation for burglary and stealing charges. He was sentenced to 8 years in the Department of Corrections. Court retains jurisdiction and will call him back after 120 days in the Department of Corrections’ Drug Treatment Program to either be placed on probation or serve full time.
On Thursday, August 9th, Dorothy Dodge (37) pleaded guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was sentenced to 4 years in the Department of Corrections. Court retains jurisdiction and will recall the defendant after 120 days to either serve the full sentence or be placed on probation.
On August 9th, a Mount Ayr man reported to the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office that between August 2nd and August 9th his 1993 Beige colored Buick LeSabre, license plate Iowa FJZ744 was stolen from Mount Ayr Tractor Repair. The car is missing a right front hubcap. Any information leading to this theft please contact the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office.
On August 9th, Worth County Prosecutor Brett Hurst filed charges against Cory Farrell (20) of Grant City alleging Driving While Revoked.
On August 10th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Salvador Fernandez (21) of Des Moines on charges of No Valid Driver’s License and Speeding.
On August 11th, Lacie Groom, 29 of Albany, MO was stopped in Mount Ayr, IA by the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department for failure to obey a stop sign at South Street and Hayes Street. Upon further investigation Groom was arrested for Operating while intoxicated 2nd offense. Groom Was booked into the Ringgold County Jail and released.
On August 11th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Joseph Reynolds (44) of Bethany alleging Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance.

On August 12th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Carl Dosztan (33) alleging Possession of a Controlled Substance.
On August 13th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Norman Dale Turley (28) of Trenton alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident.
On August 13th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Donald Witt (44) of Ridgeway alleging Manufacture of a Controlled Substance.
On August 14th, Special Prosecutor Myra Stout filed charges against Christopher McClellan (29) of Albany alleging two counts of Non-Support, with arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments in each case.
Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
