Courthouse News for August 8th, 2018

On July 30th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Cody McAdams (25) of Smithville in Harrison County on an Atchison County warrant alleging that the weight on his tandem axle exceeded 34,000 pounds. He was taken to the Harrison County Law Enforcement Center where he was held on bond.

On July 31st, Joshua Baker (32) of Leon, IA was arrested in Mount Ayr by the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department on a Greene County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Baker is awaiting transport in the Ringgold County Jail.

On July 31st, Assistant Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Rumeal Coakley (25) of Cordell (OK) alleging 4th Degree Assault and Peace Disturbance.

On July 31st, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Freedee Williams (36) of Maryville alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving Involving an accident.

On July 31st, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Thomas Gilliland (21) of Maryville alleging 1st Degree Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

On July 31st a caller reported a single vehicle accident in the ditch on 220th Avenue with nobody around in Ringgold County. After contacting the owner of the vehicle Charles Wayne Beamgard, we discovered the driver was Rebecca Jeanne Young of Mount Ayr. Rebecca was traveling northbound on 220th Avenue and swerved to miss an animal and lost control entering the north bound ditch hitting a tree. Damage to the vehicle was a total loss and no injuries were reported. She was charged for No Insurance.

On August 1st, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Derrick Schremser (38) of Maryville alleging Possession of a Controlled Substance and Operating a Vehicle Without a Valid License (2nd Offense).

On August 2nd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Joshua Kincaid (34) of Stanberry in Gentry County on charges of DWI and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway.

On August 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Tanner Marquardt (20) of Winterset (IA) alleging Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

On August 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Jason Langford (44) of Maryville alleging Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2nd Degree).

On August 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Daniel Welch (62) of Parnell alleging 1st Degree Property Damage.

On August 4th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Kittie Stewart (37) of Bethany in Harrison County alleging DWI and Failure to Stop.

On August 4th, the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office picked up a dog that was dumped on Highway PP a mile south of 136 in Nodaway County. The dog will be placed for adoption if not claimed by the owners.

On August 6th, Gentry County Prosecutor David B. Parman filed charges against Denton Beck (18) of Albany alleging Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. This is in addition to the 1st Degree Burglary charge filed on July 27th.

On August 6th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Rick Clark (70) for DWI in Harrison County. This is in addition to the charges that were filed against him on July 24th for DWI and Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway.

On August 7th, Gentry County Prosecutor David B. Parman filed charges against James Smith (38) of Albany alleging three counts of Forgery and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Prior Offense).

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
