Gary Luther Cook passed away on April 5, 2018 at home surrounded by family.
Gary was born April 12, 1934 in Sheridan, Missouri to Luther Edward and Alice Hampton (Robins) Cook. Gary was raised in Sheridan and attended Missouri University before returning home to help his father in the family implement business at Cook Truck & Tractor. Gary continued his career in the implement business until retiring from the John Deere dealership in Maryville.
Gary married the love of his life Josephine Hazel Ross on December 26, 1959 in Shannon City, Iowa. Together they had two daughters, Julie Annette (Jim) Andrews of McKinney, Texas and Jeanette Collin of Maryville.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Cook and his son-in-law Jim Collin.
One of his greatest joys were his grandchildren Ricky (Jennifer) Collin, Orlando FL; Carah (Clay) Moser of Maryville, Chet Collin, Gothenburg NE, Ashley (Beau) Heistand, Mellissa TX, Jeana Andrews, McKinney TX, and AJ (Megan) Andrews, Brooklyn NY. Gary also had 10 great-grandchildren who loved to visit their papa.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm Tuesday, April 10th with funeral services 10:00am Wednesday, April 11th both at Price Funeral Home, Maryville. The family suggests memorials to SSM Hospice.
